Après un niveau record de ventes en 2007, le marché des propriétés nouvelles en France est au point mort. Les développeurs sont de réagir et de ralentir le nombre de nouveaux projets lancés. Le résultat est une pénurie de logements qui va durer.

Les développeurs devraient vendre moins de 80.000 foyers français cette année, contre 127.500 en 2007 (plus haut niveau depuis 1979). Pricewise, le mètre carré augmente de 3,4% par an. Une baisse générale est très peu probable. Des terres et matériaux de construction sont encore coûteux, le renforcement des réglementations et des mesures d'efficacité énergétique sont en cours et de plus en plus stricte qui rend le prix par mètre carré augmente. Ce prix par m² est d'environ € 3400 en moyenne dans l'ensemble de la France.

Les clients sont généralement solvant pour jusqu'à 3000 € par m². Les propriétés offertes en vertu de ce prix sont vendus sans problème. Ainsi sont les propriétés haut de gamme pour lesquels la clientèle existe toujours.

L'objectif étant d'accroître l'offre de terrains sur l'offre et de construire plus.
